Service Technician

Air Compressor Works is seeking both an experienced technician and an entry level technician, specializing in servicing and troubleshooting all makes of rotary and reciprocating air compressors in the South Florida area.  We offer competitive pay based on experience along with benefits.  Opportunity for advancement is available to the right candidate.

Two positions are currently available: 

• One – Entry level working in our shop
• One – Experienced Field Technician

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a wide variety of compressors, refrigerated dryers, vacuum pumps, blowers and etc.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Specific requirements:

• Dependable and professional.
• Valid state drivers license.
• Good oral and written communication. English is a must and Spanish would be a plus.
• Ability to concentrate in a busy and occasionally loud environment.
• Quick learner.
• Alert and watchful with strong attention to detail.

Hours:         Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Pay Rate:    Based on experience
Education:   Entry level, High School Diploma
